This is a listing of some of the price categories that we have here on Whatprice to try and help you make the right decision on who to employ for jobs round the house, garden or car and determine approximately how much you should be paying.
Building - Cost estimates for general building work. This category looks at the major refurbishments and additions you can make to your home (and garden). Building Conservatories, garages and extensions are included as well as smaller jobs such as double glazing, loft conversions, roofing and other semi-structural changes to the inside or outside of the house. there is also a fancy Conservatory Cost Estimator designed by Whatprice
Car - Automobile parts and servicing. Contains prices (including fitting) for common replacement parts on cars. Also will include servicing costs, car rental, valeting, break-down cover and other vehicle related services.
Electrician - Considers general call-out and per hour charges as well as specific jobs to be performed. Aims to include as many examples of different wiring jobs as possible, along with the cost and perhaps time to complete these jobs.
Financial - A whole host of financial products are available, and Whatprice has attempted to put some prices on some of these. From travel insurance, building insurance to home loans we show you the prices we have researched. In conjunction with Moneyextra we also provide cost comparison tools
Gardening - Looks at garden services, landscaping, and additions of features to the garden as well the cost associated with performing some DIY garden improvement tasks. Patios, decking, turfing and even garden sheds are all considered in this section.
Health - A slightly different section (different look as well as different content) that talks about health issues, and the cost of health products, ranging from Nappies to Painkillers.
Household - Prices for house renovation, repair and refurbishment. Details costs of general re-decorating, flooring, tiling etc and also looks at professional services such as carpet cleaning, removal services and home security improvements.
Plumbing - Quotations and prices of plumbing jobs, from fixing a leaky tap to fitting the kitchen sink! Includes estimates for servicing and fitting heating systems and other appliances along with call-out and emergency call-out charges to fix those cracked pipe nightmares.
