Prices for Getting a New Driveway
Q - I am considering purchasing a plot of land and, as part of the deal, I would have to extend the driveway of the adjoining property consisting of 150mm thick reinforced concrete on a hardcore base. The total area is 200 square metres. What will be the estimated cost for a contractor to carry out this work?
A - I would work on £30 per square metre for the work you describe. This figure assumes that you can dispose of the excavated material on site, the road is self-draining and that no kerbs are required. If, however, these items are needed, you should add £1,000 for the disposal of the excavated material and £22 per linear metre for the precast concrete kerbs.
