Solar window film, supplied and installed nationwide by Sun-X (UK) Ltd, will provide significant solar heat gain and glare reduction without blocking the view, and allows visible light through the glass. It will also reduce over 99% of UV light, helping to protect your furniture from fading and rotting.
Over 80% of the heat and glare can be reduced, whilst also providing one-way mirror type privacy during daylight hours. Once installed, it requires no maintenance (with a warranty of up to 10 years), and can be easily cleaned as normal.
Most of the heat gain will be transmitted through the roof panels, so the windows need not necessarily be treated, and can allow plentiful light through.
Solar film has many advantages over blinds:
(1) Blinds absorb solar heat, and re-radiate it back into the room; solar film reflects heat away before it enters the room
(2) Blinds trap dirt and insects; film requires no maintenance
(3) Blind material and components will deteriorate and break; film requires no attention.
(4) Blind fabric blocks the view; film is transparent.
(5) Blinds are considerably more expensive and less durable.
