Does anyone have any amusing DIY stories or disasters? I'm sure I've had my share of a few over the years. Including the chest of drawers that fell out of the window, or the wrought iron wood burning stove that we just could NOT lift up the stairs.

A friend of mine tried to change a dishwasher without turning the water off first. Caused several thousand pounds worth of flood damage.

Any DIY I have ever attempted has been "amusing"... especially to to the tradesfolk I've had to pay to come and fix it! Smiley
