Installing a home network into a new build house is much easier than modifying an existing building. Whilst you can connect you property using WIFI the data rate and stability of the connection isn't generally as fast and reliable as an Ethernet wired connection. Place Ethernet connection points in all the rooms, it won't cost much at this stage and will save money later. Another good opportunity to install a wired home network is when you have a new carpet laid. Often the cables can be placed underneath the skirting board which is then hidden when the carpet goes down.
