Electrician prices for consumer unit repair
These are example prices people have paid to have their consumer unit repaired after it displayed a fault. The prices include labour costs but may also have some materials expenses on them as well. Some of the labour time will be spent in tracking down what the fault actually is.

| Had a problem with a tripping fuse box. Called out company found through Yellow Pages. 2 hours later said he could not find the fault, even though he agreed there was one, charged me £297 and left. When i asked for a refund from the Company - they refused and said electrican had done his job. Called another electrician out, he did find a fault in a cable, charged me only £100, had no problems since.
