A summer house is different from a shed usually due to its double fronted doors (a large proportion of which will be glass for good lighting). They can be built on a base or wood (like decking), paving slabs (like a patio) or concrete. They may also have a wooded base as well giving a softer feel underfoot. A summer house can be a wonderful sanctuary in the garden on a cold or wet evening especially if they have had an electricity supply provided to them. Some summer houses may be suitable for turning into a home office, but care must be taken over security. Summer houses are a great place to relax in the spring, summer or autumn months. The summer houses come in all shapes and sizes but all of them offer a nice refuge in your garden. Summer houses are also a popular place for your children to play in.
