The level of service provided by a removal firm can vary. At the most basic level you could just hire a van or truck and do it yourself. The next level is you pack everything and then a removal van arrives loads it all onto a truck takes it to the new house and puts it into. A removal service can be limited to just providing a removal van right through to hiring people to box up all your belongings, transport them and then unpack at the other end. Make sure you have a good insurance policy for the goods that the removal service will handle and check out what sort of cover they offer against damages and breakages.
