These are the most common boiler prices people pay, for the supply and fitting. That is you get a plumber in to quote you or a new boiler and they judge the best type/size and manufacturer of boiler for your house. They will then acquire the boiler and all necessary accessories and integrate it into your existing central heating system. The price you pay is for the boiler, any other parts and all time required to install it and test them system around it, so should be everything really. Please not the amount payable will vary with the type of boiler (oil being more expensive than gas typically), the size of boiler and also the difficulty in connecting it to the existing central heating system and fuel source. I had good new combi boiler fitted(Remaha)in place of my old back boiler system.One plumber was going to put it in my kitchen right over dining table which would have been awful.Anyway, they did the lot for around the same price.That included new gas pipe, boarding out the attic and building a frame with a fire resistant sheet on it, removed all the old tanks & fire etc etc. I also used a gov scheme that they are registered to, which reduced the price.Further more i got them to put me a new gas fire in and redo the chimney pot. | I replaced a Vokera boiler that was not holding its pressure & we didn't have hot water. A plumber tried to fix it but couldn't. SSE (Hydro Electric)quoted £2600 for supply install a Worcester 24i boiler,drain & flush the existing pipework. Supply a magnaclean filter & wired thermostat which I didn't have. Scottish gas were £2900. I went with SSE who then sub contractd it out. When the Vokera was removed it was found to have burnt out the flue & the combustion gases were coming back in & blowing the flame out. The first plumber should have spotted that & i wouldn't have had to spent so much cash on a new boiler. But as it was 15 years old it needed updating & SSE were offering buy now pay later.
