How much to fit new soffits & fascias?
Soffits and fascias are often fitted using painted wood, this is relatively common on new builds and older properties that pre-date uPVC materials. Whilst this is an acceptable method should the wood be maintained and regularly re-painted what happens in reality is quite the opposite.
Before long the paint will be peeling and if left too long the wood will start to rot, it’s best to catch it before damage to the wood has occurred, in these cases the original soffits and fascias can be over cladded with uPVC plastic, this is the fastest and most cost effective solution. If the wood is beyond repair then it may need to be removed and the whole soffit and fascia replaced, this will inevitably take longer and be considerably more expensive.
uPVC is the most common material to use, but long lasting spray painted aluminum is becoming more common which can give a modern look in any colour you choose.
